Stalactite Console (2022).

This console table draws inspiration from the stalactite formations found in cave systems, translating the intricate natural textures into a refined, contemporary design. The work showcases a material exploration of how organic forms can be adapted and combined with industrial materials, creating a visual connection between geology and design.

Commissioned by renowned interior designer Kelly Wearstler, the table combines metal, wood, and bioresin, harmoniously integrated with paint, varnish, and polyurethane finishes. These materials not only bring the geological inspiration to life but also emphasize a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design practices. Each element has been carefully selected to reflect the organic textures found in nature while maintaining a strong, geometric structure.

Crafting this piece involved extensive material research, as I sought out the best combinations to recreate the natural, mineral-like qualities of stalactites while ensuring durability and visual appeal in the final design.
