Stalactite Emerger (2022).

This piece draws inspiration from the stalactite formations found in cave systems, translating the intricate natural textures into a refined, contemporary work. The piece showcases a material exploration of how organic forms can be adapted and combined with industrial materials, creating a visual connection between geology and sculpture.

Commissioned by interior designer Kelly Wearstler, the work combines metal, wood, and bioresin, harmoniously integrated with paint, varnish, and polyurethane finishes. These materials bring the geological inspiration to life while emphasizing a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern practices. Each element has been carefully selected to reflect the organic textures found in nature while maintaining a strong, geometric structure.

Crafting this piece involved extensive material research, seeking out the best combinations to recreate the natural, mineral-like qualities of stalactites while ensuring durability and visual appeal in the final form.
